Eugenia uniflora L. seedling production by cutting: substrate, sazonality, auxine and rejuvenation methods

Eugenia uniflora is a species that presents great phytochemical variability, due to its main form of propagation, the seminal, which makes cultivation this commercial crop unfeasible. Therefore, objective work was develop protocol for vegetative propagation by stem cuttings. Substrates (Tropstrato®, vermiculite and sand), indolbutyric acid concentrations, rejuvenation methods (drastic pruning minicutting) harvesting times (winter, summer, autumn winter) stems were compared. The highest rooting percentage quality root system in cuttings obtained when substrate Tropstrato® with some method used. minicutting more efficient, reaching almost 50% collected summer . Stem from plants did not undergo any kind rejuvenation, regardless time collection, result formation. No anatomical changes observed between rejuvenated non-rejuvenated plant material, indicating rhizogenic process occur originated without because biochemical and/or physiological reasons. treatment IBA increase rooting, therefore use regulator recommended.
